Bulldogs provide lightning in Thunderdome

The “Thunderdome” was pretty quite on Saturday night thanks to the lightning that is Ryan Mathews and the Fresno State Bulldogs. Mathews scored three touchdowns and Ryan Colburn completed all of his passes to lead the Bulldogs to their fifth straight win. The Dog Krew will discuss Fresno State’s postseason chances, how to play four quarters and whether or not the Vandals are overrated. As always we’ll go over the key plays, hand out game balls and talk about the predictions and true/false questions. Take a shot at answering our questions at fanmail@redwavepodcast.com.

Dog Crew!
Really great to be bowl eligible and looking at a real solid season of Bulldog football. Wanted to jump on the band wagon for Ryan Colburn– he has exceeded many expectations as had our field goal kicker Keven Goessling. Taking Goessling off the kick off team has kept him focused on field goals only. At the same time Shapiro has done a marvelous job on kicking the ball deep AND our kick off coverage has not given up precious field position.
You mentioned 4 quarters of solid football coming up against Nevada- you are so right. Having seen them play 3 times this year it’s going to be like corralling a hurricane. Koppernick is going to be need to hit hard and often. He must be kept in the pocket and HARASSED!! I think we can handle their FB Luppencott if we make him run between the tackles.
Defense????!!! It WILL be a SHOOTOUT — I just hope WE have more weapons.
